Sometimes the deeper meaning of an evening only reveals itself afterwards.

Friday’s PRDesi Meera & Me gathering became one of those moments.

The first Meera was Meerabai — the poet and mystic whose words of love and devotion still inspire generations. Visiting artist Sanjeevani brought her poetry to life through music and storytelling from her book Meera & Me.

For PRDesi, there was another special Meera in the room — our own Meera Parlikar, whose resilience and positivity continue to inspire our community every day.

And then came the third Meera.

During our screening of English Vinglish, we realized Sridevi’s character travels to New York for the wedding of a young woman named Meera.

Three Meeras, One unforgettable evening.
