At PRDesi, we believe in the power of seva—selfless service that uplifts communities and creates lasting, meaningful change. With more than 150 active volunteers and nearly 400 community members, we work alongside local Puerto Rican organizations to support vulnerable children, strengthen families, and build educational and cultural bridges between the South Asian and Puerto Rican communities. Our team is deeply committed to serving with integrity, compassion, and consistency, ensuring that every initiative reflects our values and benefits those who need it most.

Tax-Deductible Contributions

PRDesi is a nonprofit organization registered and certified as a 1101.01 tax-exempt entity in Puerto Rico. Donors may contribute up to $5,000 to PRDesi each year as part of their charitable giving.

For donors wishing to contribute the additional $5,000 required under the Child Poverty portion of their Act 60 charitable giving, PRDesi partners with trusted local organizations whose work directly aligns with the community initiatives we support. Contributions made to these organizations help advance programs that uplift vulnerable children and families across Puerto Rico.

Those who choose to donate through our fiscal sponsor, Gaudium et Spes Foundation, may do so through PayPal (click here). Gaudium et Spes Foundation is an approved entity on the Puerto Rico CECFL (Act 60) Legislative List and is authorized to receive Child Poverty contributions.
